Mondo Home Alone Art by DKNG

This piece, created by Artist DKNG, depicts a classic holiday movie, Home Alone. The piece will be available for sale as art prints on later sometime today. The picture is 18×24 and is out of a set of 275 and costs $40.

DKNG made the following statement about the piece saying:

“When approaching a concept for Home Alone, we knew the interior of the McCallister home and all of Kevin’s tricks to foil the Wet Bandits were likely to be the focus of our design. However, we also wanted to incorporate the exterior of the house and provide a different perspective on some of the movie’s most iconic scenes. We took some liberties with the architecture of the house and the layout of the property, but in the end the exterior allowed us to include some of our favorite imagery from Home Alone including the Oh-Kay Plumbing van, the perpetually knocked over bronze statue, and off course, Old Man Marley. This poster was an interesting challenge for us as we’ve typically been using two-color printing for this more realistic style. This time around, we stepped up to a four-color design that looks great with the fine halftones blending the colors. The poster is printed on a subtle metallic paper that will give the snow an extra shimmer as well.”

Rebel Wilson in Meeting for Ghostbusters Reboot

Actress Rebel Wilson, Pitch Perfect, recently met with Director Paul Feig about starring in the upcoming Ghostbusters movie reboot. In an interview with The Today Show, Rebel was asked about meeting for the movie, where she replied:

“Look, I have had a meeting, but who knows? They have to look at the script when it’s finished. I would even do that without the money truck. I’d do that for free. I probably shouldn’t say that live on TV.”

The story for the Ghostbusters reboot is still currently being developed by Screenwriter Katie Dipploid. The film is currently searching for actresses to place as the main characters. Other actresses that are being considered are Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wig, Emma Stone, and many more.

In the video, Indiana is chased by not a huge boulder, but the rolling ball droid from the teaser trailer! Rhall commented on his video saying:

“I was inspired by a picture mashing up the new droid from Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Indiana Jones boulder scene and couldn’t resist putting this together. They’re two of my favorites franchises so I thought it’d be fun to do some fan service.”

Sony/Marvel Spider-Man Could Still Happen?!

We recently reported on an article from the Wall Street Journal that Sony and Marvel were, at one time, working together to have Sony’s Spider-Man join Marvel’s comic book movie universe. The article went on to confirm that talks between Sony and Marvel went South and the idea of Spider-Man joining up for Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War faded away. Well now, according to Latino-Review, the negotiations between the two titans may not be over just yet.

The site apparently has an inside source who relayed the following information:

“I can report that the deal Sony finally rejected was NOT a Marvel trilogy of movies that Sony would have control over. Instead, it was a co-production deal where Marvel and Sony would split future Spider-Man film costs 60/40 (Marvel paying the larger part) while MARVEL retained control of the Spider-Man creative property with the potential to have him cross-over into Marvel’s Phase films, like an appearance in CaptainAmerica: Civil War.”

The source goes on to talk about the bosses at Sony Japan aren’t very pleased with what’s happening. Latino-Review’s report goes on to say:

“What I’m hearing from my little birds is that Sony, the parent company, views Sony Pictures’s handling of the Spider-Man property as disappointing. Sony wants to be all about ‘quality’ films (actual one-word quote, not air quotes), and the Amazing Spider-Man movies have not been that, nor have the rumors of future films in the franchise. Sony Japan thinks the Marvel deal for Spider-Man is still on the table and they want to renegotiate as a return to quality, the 60/40 split can be negotiated and Sony Entertainment’s October hard-line stance of wanting creative control is now mostly moot in the eyes of the higher-ups.”

The site goes on to speculate saying:

“Wouldn’t it be neat if Sony’s ‘Spidey-summit’ ended with a call to Marvel, who made a call to Joss Whedon, who got a guy in a Spider-Man suit from ASM 2 to jump into those pick-up shots they’re shooting early next year for Avengers: Age of Ultron?… The world would lose [its] shit”
