There’s no getting around it everyone, it’s the holidays. A time of peace, family, love, and joy. A time for not getting on the roads because everyone else driving has gone completely crazy. A time for getting into your morning pajamas with a hard brewed cup of coffee while you wrap presents about an hour before you spend Christmas morning with your friends and family because THAT’S WHO YOU ARE AND YOU’LL BE DAMNED IF YOU’LL LET ANYONE GET IN THE WAY OF THAT!!! Sorry, sometimes with all the holiday stress I get a little snappy. Anyways, things have been especially busy here for us at CoffeeandGeeks with reporting the truckloads of recently exciting news, especially mixing that with being a college student and finals. I’m happy to actually have a quick minute or two to sit down and compose another installment in the COFFEE posts!!
I’m spending the holidays with my parents back in our one-red-light-in-the-middle-of-town neighborhood now that finals are over for the semester. One of my favorite things about coming home, besides seeing my family, are getting to look over and add new comics to my comic book collection. I recently ordered an old Marvel limited series called Marvel Super Hero Contest of Champions. There is a phone game we recently did an article on called Marvel’s Contest of Champions, a game I’m having trouble putting down, which was one of the main reasons why I got the series. The issues’ cover art were also created by one of my favorite artists, John Romita.
I also got to add a new ornament from my girlfriend to the Christmas tree, a small Star Wars R2-D2. It has to be one of my favorite ornaments I’ve gotten to put up on the tree this year since I couldn’t find a whole lot of my old, childhood ornaments. I’m thankful to have such a wonderful and loving girlfriend, even if she hasn’t seen any of the Star Wars movies.
The coffee’s good, the house is warm, and the people are nice and friendly. Other than asking for good health and world peace, there’s not much more I could ask for other than a trip on the Millennium Falcon. I hope all of my readers and followers have a safe and happy holiday season!!
