Could The Dark Knight Returns Be Getting Another Sequel?

After 30 years since the original debut of Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns storyline, and 13 years years since the sequel, The Dark Knight Strikes Again, DC may be planning for another installment in the Batman series. According to Bleeding Cool and Comic Book Resources, Miller is in talks to work with current Batman writer, Scott Snyder for a 3rd Dark Knight series.

The third installment would jump even father into the future and would be similar to the original comic. The story would revolve around Carrie Kelly, Batman’s Robin at the time of The Dark Knight Returns, now a much older woman trying to find a replacement to take up the Robin mantle. The plan is for Miller and Snyder to write the comic together and have a rotating team of artists illustrate each issue. The current talks for the potential changing artists are Greg Capullo, Jim Lee, Marc Silvestri, Andy Kubert, and Sean Murphy.
