Marvel Adds Carrie-Anne Moss To Jessica Jones Netflix Series

According to, Actress Carrie-Anne Moss, The Matrix, Disturbia, will be joining Marvel’s upcoming Netflix series, A.K.A. Jessica Jones. Marvel is currently keeping Carrie’s role in the series under wraps, simply describing her as a “no non-sense woman.” The series is set to release sometime later in 2015.

Rachael Taylor Joins Marvel’s Jessica Jones Netflix Series

According to Marvel, Actress Rachael Taylor, The Loft, will be joining Marvel’s upcoming Netflix series, A.K.A. Jessica Jones, as radio talk show host, former model and TV star Patricia “Trish” Walker. Trish is a close friend of Jessica who helps her embark on one of the most dangerous cases of Jessica’s career.

“The character is a star and a powerhouse, and required an actress who is both,” said Rosenberg. “Rachael is all that and more!”

Marvel’s Executive Producer/ Head of Television Jeph Loeb spoke on the character saying:

“Rachael’s ability to embody a character that must balance both the darker and lighter elements of our series will provide a perfect emotional anchor for Jessica Jones,” said Loeb,  “Rachael blew us away with her grounded, humanizing take on Trish, adding yet another layer to the complex, emotional story we’re telling with this series.”

Dr. Who David Tennant To Play Marvel’s Purple Man

Marvel has announced that former Dr. Who David Tennant will be play comic book villain Purple Man in Netflix’s upcoming superhero series, A.K.A. Jessica Jones. Marvel hinted towards Purple Man, aka Zebediah Killgrave, playing a major role in the series saying:

“An enigmatic figure from Jessica’s past, Kilgrave’s reappearance will send shockwaves through the former super hero’s world.


Executive Producer/ Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg, who is developing the series, spoke about David’s role saying:

I’m so honored and excited by the prospect of David inhabiting this multifaceted character,” said Rosenberg. “He can deliver the most heart-wrenching moment to the driest of lines, and all points in between. He’ll make Kilgrave a truly original villain.”

Krysten Ritter on Marvel’s Jessica Jones Series

We recently reported that Actress Krysten Ritter would be playing the lead role for one of Marvel’s Netflix Series, Jessica Jones. Krysten recently spoke with on her upcoming role saying that she wasn’t originally a fan of the character in Marvel’s comic but now she can’t put the source material, Marvel comic series Alias, down.



Krysten commented on the Alias comic and character saying:

“I wasn’t, but I am now reading the Jessica Jones comics and devouring them. And [I’m] hooked. I don’t think I’ve been so hooked on something since Serial. So now I feel that way about the Jessica Jones series. I can’t wait. I mean, as soon as we’re done today, that’s what I am going to be doing. I’m really excited about Jessica Jones. It’s so f**king cool. It’s so cool. I can’t wait to watch it.”

Krysten went on to talk about her upcoming role and her past work as an actress saying:

“It’s crazy, because I remember, like, six years ago, I was like, ‘I just want to work with female directors and female showrunners; there’s none.’ And I feel like, since then, I’ve exclusively worked with women, which I love. I worked with Amy Heckerling, Kat [Coiro], Jessica Goldberg, Leslye Headland, Nahnatchka Khan, the creator of Don’t Trust the B–, who is my idol and bar for anything funny. And now Melissa! It’s a dream come true.”

Krysten Ritter Cast as Marvel’s Jessica Jones in Netflix Series

Marvel’s Netflix series, Jessica Jones, has found it’s leading lady! It has been confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter that Actress Krysten Ritter, Don’t Trust the B- in Apartment 23, has been cast to play the series’s main character, Jessica Jones.



The Jessica Jones series will be one of four shows featured on Netflix from Marvel, each having a minimum of 13 episodes and rolling out in 2015. The four shows will come together at the end of each to introduce another new series from Marvel, The Defenders, that will feature on Netflix as well.


Krysten’s character, Jessica Jones, is a superhero with post-traumatic stress disorder which ultimately causes her to hang up her cape and tights for good. She then opens up her own detective agency, where she begins helping ordinary people and super-powered as well.
